Unit Overview
Lesson 1: I can identify human actions that have an observable impact on land.
I can make choices to reduce human impact on the land.
Lesson 2: I can communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the land.
 

Lesson 3: I can identify human actions that have an observable impact on water.
I can make choices to reduce human impact on the water.
Lesson 4: I can communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the water.
 

Lesson 5: I can identify human actions that have an observable impact on air.
I can make choices to reduce human impact on the air.
Lesson 6: I can communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the air.
 

Lesson 7: I can identify human actions that have an observable impact on other living things in the local environment.
I can make choices to reduce human impact on other living things in the local environment.
Lesson 8: I can communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on other living things in the local environment.
Lesson 9: I can draw, dictate and/or write to compose an informative explanatory text to name a topic related to caring for our Earth and supply some information about the topic.Materials Needed:
* Several books/ebooks/magazine articles about caring for land, water, air and living things
* Movie clips on the same topics
* Pictures of how man negatively affects the environment
